Each one of us is given a certain amount of time here on Earth. Some are only given a few years whereas others may be granted 100 plus years. In either case, the time that we are given is short, and most important, it is temporary. Some may balk that 80 or 100 years seems like a very long time to live especially given how many changes occur within society during a 100 year time period. Consider how much has changed from 1920 to 2020. Things are changing, it seems, at a quicker pace than ever before. We have all experienced drastic changes set right before our eyes and yet they are all but a drop in a bucket in comparison to eternity. Eternity is like infinite time standing still forever. Where hours, days and years may pass, but yet none of it will be felt. It is where, perhaps, 100 years is merely a nanosecond, but then again, even that can’t hold a candle to the sun in comparison to eternity. Eternity is devoid of time, and quite frankly, hard to explain, never mind comprehend. Nothing could exist that does exist without God. The LORD God sustains eternity Himself.

What’s even more amazing is the truth that eternity is set within the heart of each and every person who has ever lived. This eternity resides within your soul and when the heavens and the earth have been removed, your soul will live on for all eternity. Who has set this eternity within the hearts of men? The Creator, the I AM who spoke everything into existence with just a few words. Mankind has been trying to figure these things out since the dawn of time.

We are placed here, or born with a purpose, a purpose driven by Love so that we may know Him and learn of His most glorious and wonderous ways. Don’t be fooled into thinking that seeking after God is an easy task. It is not and neither is it for the faint of heart, but God desires that each and every one of you to know Him intimately. He desires that you would come to know His true nature, one that is completely selfless. It is His selflessness that sustains the universe and holds all things together.
